Morning guys, So built up my PC not even a month ago and have been loving it,

But last night a mate of mine was talking screens, now mine I bought because it was on special and didn't have much budget left so got it and was very happy (wish it was a 27" though)

So my screen is a Samsung S24D390HL

I know 144 and Gsync are all the business but is there anything really "Wrong" with my screen. it does only have a refresh of 60hz so I should prob bring my CS:GO fps down from 300. and last question, Should it be a upgrade I should consider soon. As right now I'm actually looking at a Mech keyboard next. would a 144 screen make a bigger difference above a mech keyboard, and is Gsync really worth it.

Up until now I though my monitor was awesome and have been very happy with it.

ehh, not really.  It uses HDMI which is kinda "eww" on my part but its going to do exactly what its going to do.  I'd say as long as you paid less than $150 for it, you're chill.

Please spend as much time writing your question, as you want me to spend responding to it.  Take some time, and explain your issue, please!

With the GTX 970 you have you could look at gaming in 1440p which will look a little nicer but if you are happy gaming at 1080p there is nothing wrong with that.  As for getting a mechanical keyboard hey I tried one out at Staples some time ago now and it blew me away on how responsive the typing was and I can see the appeal of those type of keyboards.  I like hearing the click for my keystrokes.  I like the look of many mechanical keyboards too.  I would say if you look hard enough there have been some decent sales on them ranging from $59 to $69 after MIR I believe.  I don't remember models/brands that were on sale at the places I look but I can say it is possible to find a mechanical keyboard cheap and they are definitely worth it.  I mean I probably could still use the usual keyboards I have used in the past but I would recommend a mechanical keyboard to anyone as in terms of performance they are awesome.

Too many ****ing games!  Back log 4 life! :S

SNIP

Bad? no, but it could be improved, personally I find 27" too large for 1080p - 1440p is better at that size, its MUCH sharper, almost twice the number of pixels

144hz is great for fast paced games like CS, and can really make a massive difference in smoothness

But if you are happy, dont worry about it :)

Mate, I personally wouldn't worry about it. That Samsung monitor you have is a PLS (Plain to Line Switching] monitor, it's equivalent to the IPS display technology, and I actually think it's a decent monitor myself. I see no reason for you to upgrade, unless you want to, if you're quite happy with it. :)
