Alright, this is quite odd, but just yesterday I wiped my hard drive and installed two fresh operating systems, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 technical preview. So last night I started off with Windows 10, installing drivers, programs, etc, and it was working fine. A few hours into using it something odd happened. Windows just completely went crazy, its hard to explain what happened. So basically all the audio started lagging and almost seemed to go into slow motion every few seconds, if that makes any seance, and my mouse would lag around and stop moving when the lag happened. Basically everything lagged. Thinking it was just a Windows 10 bug, I went over to Windows 8.1, where everything seemed to be a little off, it was running slower then it usually does. About 5 hours into using Windows 8.1, the same damn thing happened. Recently before wiping the hard drive I was also having some odd problems with the PC in general. For example when I would turn it off it would turn straight back on, it would sometimes turn on randomly in the night, and even when it was bumped. I even went through the power supply cables and re plugged them all making sure there was no loose connections. I feel that either my motherboard is shot or my PC is haunted. Any thoughts? I can't find anything on the internet like it, I wish I recorded it the second time.

my first guess would be a problem with ram..tho usually that would cause a BSOD

could be the hard drive as well..maybe some bad sectors
