You can go for a smaller PSU, like from EVGA.

You can also go for a lower end CPU.

You can overclock it and why wouldn't you with a different cooler and a K CPU?

Are you talking about the GTX 970?

I think MSI is just as good as the Gigabyte one. (I think the MSI one overclocks a bit worse)

isnt the i5 pretty much the sweet spot for gaming? (intel-wise) i've specced out a build with an i3 yesterday, and honestly its not really a good idea price/performance wise. (especially on those amazingly optimized AAA titles)

not sure if its gonna make much of a price difference, but 2133 memory might be a tad overkill.

I saw the RAM too, but the price was so low, I didn't say anything about it.

And Yeah, that i5 is pretty dang good and you should aim for that in those price range IMHO, but I felt like that was the only appropriate way to get the price down, since OP needs the RAM and HDD.

If you're not overclocking you can go for an Intel i5 4690 (so not K), but that was just as expensive on PCPP.

So look around on other sites.

And I believe this is the good EVGA PSU:

Look at some reviews and I saw it was on sale at NCIX
