Samsung Migration tool question

Go to solution Solved by Enderman,

What if it's an hdd that you want to upgrade should you still not do it still?

No, never. It's not worth the trouble. A few months or years after cloning you will start to get all kinds of problems like BSODs, system hangs, disk usage spikes, OS errors, and a ton of stuff which will eventually force you to do a clean install anyway.

You can avoid all these problems by just doing a clean install in the first place and you will save more time than cloning.

Does it work correctly? Because I attempted to migrate from my 840 evo to 850 pro and when It was finished. I tried to boot it said there was some kind of boot file missing then I had to reinstall windows and restore from my system image and then everything went to my 850 pro.

Don't clone operating systems. Never do that. Always do a proper clean install.
