So im just wondering what the "max volume" (1-100 in windows) it's safe to use without

damaging my headphones (ath-m50), i use 25 which isn't a problem but sometimes i turn

it up to 100 and just use my headphones on the desk as speakers lol.

Any ideas on where the line goes beetween ok and too much?

depends on your soundcard/amp, if you use onboard audio I wouldn't worry too much.

By the time you would damage your headphones you´ve already damaged your hearing.

and just use my headphones on the desk as speakers lol.

TL;DR much? ;)

I am not sure, but I don't think using your closed back headphones as speakers is good.

I sometimes do this too, it doesn't sound good but sometimes all you need is some background noise.

I do it too sometimes, but my headphones are open back and generally have shitty sound leaking.

I just don't have speakers that's why i use them as speakers, just don't want to f**K them up.

Simple. Stop using it with ways it's not meant to be used. Think about it this way: if you're using F1 to do paris-dakkar rally, what's the probability of you wrecking that F1? Simple, because F1s are never meant to do rallies....
