Difference in temperature sensor reading between MSI Afterburner and Speedfan

My temps on the CPU (which might also be the intergated CPU) measured by MSI Afterburner a really shacky and seem unrealsitic to me.

Indifference to my Speedfan values which are by far not as shacky.

Is it due to the fact that MSI Afterburner reads the integrated GPU and Speedfan the normal CPU cores?

Screenshot taken while watching 1280x720 stream on main 1920*1080 monitor and second 1024*768 monitor attatched. (Scale on the graph is 70°C to 0°C)

Any ideas? Is my suggestion maybe already the solution?

I belive different programs can take different readings from different cores, ex one program may only represent core 1 while another represents an average. XTU has been the most reliable (for me) when testing temps.

Speedfan was good, back in Windows XP. Since Vista / 7, it's useless. I'd rely on MSI Afterburner tbh.
