Should I Get A Nikon D5100?

So I've currently got a Sony a57 and it's a good camera but I'm giving it to my girlfriend. I found a Nikon D5100 with 2 lenses for $450, do you think that's worth it? 

 

Here's what it all has

AF-S Nikkor 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6

AF-S Nikkor 55-200mm 1:4-5.6

Bag

I have the same camera and I can tell you that it's pretty decent for a DX camera, better than my family's D3100 for sure. Do you really want a zoom lens? I'd keep the 18-55mm for wide shots and such and ditch the 55-200mm witha 35mm or 50mm prime lens.

 

I have a 35mm f1.8g prime lens and it equates to a 50mm lens on a FX camera.

Are you asking me how the D3200 performs for video? or about what lens?

 

If you are then I'm not sure as video isn't really my "thing" It has 60fps at 720p which is decent I guess, even my D5100 doesn't do 60fps at 720p

I do like taking some long shots, I previously had a Sony ax57 but it was stolen, but the main lens I used for it was a 75-300mm.

well you could get the 18-55mm and 55-200mm then get a 35mm down the line.

The nikon is only $400 with all the lens's, I work over 40 hours a week so spending money a large amount of money on an item I don't have a lot of time to use isn't really my thing. 

 

I've kinda been looking at a Sony A5100, combo kit for around $700, it seems like a more manageable size, exspecially over the size of cameras I'm use to using.

 

so basically my budget is $700, preferably or $1,000 max.

As for partial to a brand not really, I've owned all 3 and never had a problem with any of them.
