I'm going to be redoing my main machine and moving everything out of my 600T. I really don't like any of the cases out there besides the H440 but it just doesn't cut it for me without modding.

Going to throw in my 5960x setup with 2 Titan X's that will be done with copper tubing powder coated black.

Any dislikes or likes about the C70 case?

I have one and I love it. This case is an absolute airflow galore. Cable management is also an ease in this case. Although the stock window is meh although does offer two fan mounting options. @TheSLSAMG also states the cons that come with this case.

Ah, my C70.

I liked it. Solidly built, and it looked cool. However, let's just go through a few hurdles:

  • You will have to drill larger screw holes in the front to fit a 240MM radiator, and the lip on the inside of the case may make contact with the fins of the radiator.
  • The window is rather ugly IMO, and scratches somewhat easily. MNPCTech sell their own custom windows, or you could make your own with a cut panel of glass or acrylic.
  • Watch out with the mounting mechanism for the side panels and the edges, I somehow dented mine and I never really abused the case.
  • Front fan filter is not easily removed without making all the dust fly out in the process.
  • Top requires rubber grommets to take fans/radiators, the grommets shred easily.

I moved from a 600T to a C70. I like the handles, it's easier to move around. It's a bit easier to build in or disassemble. Dislike how open it is; there's not much to isolate noise, and the grilles can produce some annoying fan tones. The grilled side window is kind of a waste for me. One of the cable management clips broke, not the strongest plastic or the best design.

Wait...you said 2 titans?? Why on earth would you need 2 titans in one build???

I don't really see how this is relevant here.

Why would you need 64GB RAM? Why would you need 8 cores? Others have different uses for their computers than you do. Some just like overkill, and for some, this is underkill.

OMG, I just looked up MNPCTech's C70 custom windows, and I'm going to buy one now. Thanks for sharing.

I'll have 4 titans but will only use 2 in this system since it's powering 3 ROG 1440 27" screens (still overkill)

This will sum me up.. lol

I saw the window on mnpc, which would be ordered with the case for sure. I'd probably dremel off most of the HDD cages and mod the front to fit a much much bigger radiator.

The cages come right out, no dremel required. Just a standard Phillips screwdriver.

The Hard Drive cages come right out with just screws. If you're talking about the 5.25 bays then yes, you do need to Dremel those off.

Well I meant the 5.25 bays as well so theres nothing there and replace the bay covers with another piece of mesh

I've always liked the look of the black case. I do think you should cosider replacing the stock window with an actual piece of glass to get rid of the rather unappealing fan mounts.

$22 for the replacement @ http://mnpctech.com/mnpctech-clear-case-pc-panels/corsair-c70-window-replacement-clear-fan-holes-120mm/corsair-c70-custom-window.html=D

Love mine, my reset button doesn't work very well but other than that I'm very pleased. I have the MNPCTech window and can vouch for its quality, only downside was the shipping.

Fits my Maximus V Formula just fine, no shoehorning involved. Might not be spec'd for it, but it'll fit.

I used to put my Z77X-UP7 in a CM690 Advanced nvidia editon. Never again due to the halved cable management grommets.

Rampage IV Black Edition is E-ATX.

About the C70: nice case. Handles are very useful apparently. Front hex thing can be swapped out and painted. White version is very pretty and the green is OK.

C70 was an option going from my old Cooler Master. Mainly for the handles. PC weighs a ton to move for LANs.

Even pseudo E-ATX (257~264mm wide) has another 20mm to reach the start of the grommets in the C70, or ~45mm to their halfway point.

My board is 20mm wider than ATX. So yeah not quite proper E-ATX.
