What is wrong with my LED kit?

I bought these lights http://amzn.to/1AWtGx4about a month ago and later got the power supply that comes with it. Now when I push red on the remote, it changes the lights to green. When I push blue, it changes to red. It won't give me the right color. What could be wrong?

you went color blind, and its actually displaying the right color you just cant see it :D

Perhaps the receiver or transmitter is faulty, perhaps change the remote batteries to make sure that's not the issue?

take the remote far away from the receiver (so that the remote doesnt reach the LED strip), then click the colour that the strip currently is

now go back to where the strip is and try changing the colour, see what happens

 

you may have to do this more than once...
