Android 5.1 Lollipop: Big Update, Big Issues

Suika

I didn't notice any issues on my Nexus 5 and I also check my Ram from time to time. It is usually around 700-900 MB were 528(right now) are used by Android itself(System). I have 2 Apps using around 200MB.

LG Nexus 5, running on T-Mobile. I have not done an OTA, I've been using only factory images.

Apparently on the XDA Developers forums all the Xperia Z3's and Z2's are running 5.0.2 in the Nordic and Baltic countries without any hiccups using both official and unofficial updates, and they are reporting noticeably faster responsiveness, faster charging times, and longer lasting battery. So perhaps the issues may be exclusively to the Nexus under T-mobile, or perhaps you need to roll back and try a fresh install.  I'm thinking this isn't an across the board issue.

Bet that wifi issue on iOS doesn't look so bad now

Lol I came to post something about this. In the iOs bug thread, it's all about how people treat iOS as superior software, that people will buy Apple whatever they do, blablabla...

Who's laughing now ? *evil laugh*... Seriously, theses are 2 major problem that need to be fixed asap. I think the Android's one is even more critical. I don't want to see my phone crash while I'm in a business call . But all in all, it just shows how hard it is to put an operating system out there without bugs.

I know Apple won't be adding too much features in the next release, focusing on bugs and optimization. Let's hope Google will do the same. Like Lollipop looks pretty cool... it got enough features now, just make it fast and bug free.

I hope fixing this issue is what's taking OnePlus/Cyanogen so long to put out the update for the OPO.

Currently using Android 5.0.2 on my Z3 compact and I have zero stability, RAM memory or battery problems. Better yet the battery life seems to have improved for the first time since I started updating on my V from 4.1.2. Recommend to everyone using a sony Z3 to update to Lollipop!

Received the update notification yesterday morning, hesitated all day and finally updated my Nexus 5 at night, after a day of normal use, no bug/crash/waiting time or even experienced slowing of the phone.. So I'm disappointed in the people claiming that the update was a nonsense filled with bug

Yeah I have the nexus 6 and it's problem after problem.  Have been on android for 2 and a half years and have never had this many issues with the OS.  Lollipop has some nice features, but I wish it would just run without constant issues.  Seriously considering switching back to ios for my next phone.

Is it just me or is Google slowly becoming worse and worse at everything they do? Do no evil What a lovely concept. Too bad they forget it and stopped caring about quality.

Google is becoming what old Microsoft was and Microsoft is becoming what old Google was. Companies need to get knocked off their high horse so they can actually start making quality products/services again. Google hasnt gotten there quite yet but the writing is on the wall that they are not far off

what issues are you having?

Stupid stuff like apps randomly crashing, the camera deciding it no longer wants to work, and the whole phone crashing and needing a restart to function normally.  The annoying thing is these issues come and go so I never know what to expect.
