I'm giving all of you a task

Okay, here we go. Your task: build the best $250 PC that you can, all the parts must be new, and it has to have an internal drive (when ever I'm tasked with $250 PCs I use an USB drive... Lol) Your OS is not included, but you could go with Ubuntu, PC-BSD, or any other Unix/Linux OS. You all have on day.

Begin

Have you tried to restart it?

I know. But "can" and "should" are different things. Anything is possible, really... but I wouldn't put a build out there I wouldn't use myself.

Alright everybody, this post has some misunderstanding. This was just a challenge, a challenge to see if you guys could build a PC @ or under $250, now obviously, you all can. I have a friend who wanted a $400 Gaming Pc and I wanted to see what you guys & gals recommend for a base build without the GPU.

Have you tried to restart it?

Pls... that PSU can only NOMINALLY feed 200 W over 12 V

For the APU is OK... but for a R7 250X which also requires auxiliar PCIe power connector it's going to be close

At $250 you can't afford to accommodate expansion...To get a case+decent psu you'd be looking at $270 min.

I'd go with a different case (Source 210 would be better),

I'd also like to point out, that includes rebates.

@OP

Is your friend planning on upgrading soon? Or no?

If hes going to upgrade soon, then I'd just go with an i5 and then pick up an R0 280x+ soon. If he's not, then I'd go with an 860k and an R9 270 now ( http://pcpartpicker.com/p/kHw9P6 )
