What would be the better option?

4670k @4.5GHz, EVGA SC GTX770 ACX, 8GB 1600MHz CL9 (2x4GB), NZXT Source 530. Asrock Z87 Fatal1ty Killer, NZXT Respire T40, EVGA NEX650G, Win 8.1.

Make sure that your ram has clearance with your cpu cooler. I think the cpu cooler clearance is 38mm so buy ram higher than 38mm.

If it does not, I can easily change it out for something low-profile, I still have a decent amount of room in my 700-800$ budget.

Yes, I need it soon. I don't have anything that can use the power of a GTX 760 yet, but I plan to get some games inbetween now and when I do get it.

I have to manage servers/forums and my current computer is bricked after 7 years, and it wasn't very useful anyway.

not right off from the start, but I will overclock when I get the GTX 760

Why the 212 Plus? I think the Hyper 212 Evo will be better. As for the memory, these are pretty tall and may not fit with the Hyper 212 cooler.

then by all means he should get th EVO. i have a hyper 212 in my rig and corsair vengeance. no clearance issues.
