I am planning on getting dual 390x when they are released later in the year assuming benchmarks are good enough.

But i am running a 2500k right now.

So my question is pcie 2.0 8x fast enough to run these cards.

But since these cards arent out no way to know.

lets say for argument sake . i have a gtx 980 sli or 290x xfire runnign on pci-e2 8.0x

upgrade to pcie3.0 or not is the question.

this will be a 4k machine. Or do i need to wait for these cards to really know with speculation that 390x will have double the memory bandwidth of 290x.

I guess that is 2 questions.

What do you guys think???
