4690K + 120gb ssd ? or I7 4790K without ssd?

For Gaming and browsing internet Only

If gaming only, i5 + SSD.

I would recommend a b bigger SSD, so more games fit on it

Gaming and browsing I'd have to go FX-8350 + 240gb SSD. Spend more money on a graphics card, an Intel CPU I (personally) think is not worth it for gaming and browsing.

The Rig: NZXT H440 M3 (Green and Black) (Ncase M1 coming soon!!) | Intel Core i5-4690k x BeQuiet PureRock Slim | EVGA GTX 1060 6GB SSC  | ASUS H81i Plus | 12GB EVGA SSC @ 1600MHz | Seagate Barracuda 2TB | Sandisk Ultra II 480GB | Corsair SF 450| LG 29" Ultrawide | CoolerMaster Quickfire Rapid TKL | Corsair M65 Black Sennheiser HD 558 (MOD) | Audio-Technica ATR 2500

Except an 8350 is absolutely trash.

If you wanted to reccomend he goes a bit more budget on the CPU, then you would reccomend a 4460/h97 combo as even that will still destroy that 8-core garbage in games.

hahahaha, 4690k obliterates any FX CPU in gaming.

OP get the 4690k and SSD imo unless you really want that extra few FPS in certain games/future games.

I wouldn't say the 8350 is trash. It's a decent CPU which fairs well for heavily threaded workloads on the cheap, but since it has weak per core performance the i5 is often favored as a better choice for a gaming CPU.

OK, its not trash. But for gaming, its never a good choice unless you only ever play bf4 and that's it. Its single core performance is terrible. Arrandale probably has better single core performance than bulldozer.

For faildozer, yes, but not Vishera.

They're all pretty bad. Amd doesn't have a single good consumer CPU.

Lol I guess I'm going against an Intel fanboy. AMD is putting their efforts in mobile devices, and are doing great. Their desktop CPUs are decent depending on your needs. Say I wanted a cheap sub $100 CPU I can use for video editing. I would go for a FX 8320e. Or say I wanted a processor less than $100 for use in a HTPC capable of light gaming. I would go for an A8 or A10. Saying that they don't have a single good consumer CPU is nonsense.

I'm not an Intel fanboy. As I've explained before. Amd makes a CPU that's better for gaming than Intel's offerings and I'll buy it. Currently amd does not have a single good gaming CPU, that's what I meant.

Well duh, the 8350 costs $100 less. I'd take the i5 any day.

That's like saying Microsoft has no good products lol...

I wouldn't say they don't have a single good gaming CPU, an overclocked 860k can match or beat an i3 in gaming, but as a trade off it has a limited upgrade path. A few of their APUs are decent for those on a budget.

I mean good, not decent. Something from AMD that's as good as a 4690k.

Could have just said AMD is decent, yet Intel has superior offerings in the current market rather than bashing them at first as terrible cpus.

OK. I see your point. I'll take that into consideration. I hope you have a good day, sir. May your children prosper.
