Okay so I have an upgraded x552ea (8gb 120gb 840 evo) on 8.1 but its begun to slow down quite a lot, and I think its either down to the controller of the ssd its self.

Of course if it is the controller its basically a new laptop but is there a way to exactly check the slowdown, I know its not windows as it's fresh on, so any ideas?

Thanks

Done it, results are

Seq Read 451.2 Writes 411.5
512k Read 400.6 Writes 197.3

4k Read 18.85 Writes 30.81

4k qd32 Read 72.68 Write 60.99

the reads are about right, its still slow as hell though
