Latest drivers aside,.. they can still have issues whether latest or not...

Download and Rollback to a previous version and compare..

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

1. You don't want to be at 100-250FPS, if your monitor is only rated for 60Hz and you're above 60FPS you will get screen tearing and other visual anomalies that wreck the experience. To fix this you can either turn on Vsync, or use EVGA Precision X to set your target FPS to 60 and it might eliminate some of these issues.

2. Run AdwCleaner and HitmanPro

3. Monitor your system resource usage such as CPU, GPU, and Disk usage while you're experiencing the problems. Is your GPU usage/power usage spiking? You can use EVGA precision X to view the GPU stats or Windows Task Manager to view CPU Stats.

Check ram usage, if 98-100% there could be a memory leak or something

Might be your internet connection?

It's definetly not my internet connection since i'm always at a stable 100 Mbit/s. I have had my pc connected to other networks but the same fps drops have been happening either way.

monitor your disk usage and see if it goes to 100% when youre getting one of those lag spikes

The disk usage only goes to about 49% and remains stable when gaming. When getting the lag spikes, the disk usage remains the same.

Latest drivers aside,.. they can still have issues whether latest or not...

Download and Rollback to a previous version and compare..

I have tried using previous versions of the drivers but the problem is still there.

1. You don't want to be at 100-250FPS, if your monitor is only rated for 60Hz and you're above 60FPS you will get screen tearing and other visual anomalies that wreck the experience. My monitor is a 144Hz gaming monitor from Asus. But still, enabling the vsync is a good idea, even though the fps drops does occur even if i have it enabled. I will see about the precision X software. I Ran both AdwCleaner and HitmanPro. HitmanPro found no threats and AdwCleaner did not detect any problems.

The GPU usage/power is not spiking when the problem occurs. Disk usage was at 49% when gaming and when the lags happens.

Check ram usage, if 98-100% there could be a memory leak or something

The memory usage did not extend over 49%, even when getting the drops.
