What is second? Can it run modern games now

280X -> GTX 760 -> GTX 750 Ti

EDIT: but if you're looking at the GTX 760, take a look at the R9 270 too

Don't buy hardware a generation old unless you're buying used. Buy the best of what you can afford, and apparently the 280x is that card.

Nvidia isn't necessarily better than AMD.

The 700-series from Nvidia is a generation old. So don't buy those cards unless you're having to buy used.

The 700 series are still good and can run 1080p games. That is the best I can buy

Nvidia is better than AMD? ಠ_ಠ

Either way, the 270 (with a small overclock) is about on par with a GTX 760 (for quite a bit less)

Unless you're seeing those 700-series cards for less than an equal-performing 900-series card, it won't be worth it.

Let me just ask the question that should have been asked to begin with: what is your budget?

I didn't understand your question..

It means something like to be equal to each other
