BF4 issue

Go to solution Solved by Lays,

I fixed it with gofspar, somehow it was rendering in mantle, even though I re-installed it multiple times, apparently the settings folder also wasn't being changed by Nvidia GeForce Experience when I clicked the optimize button.

Just had to delete the PROFSAVE files in documents

When I try to play BF4 I have literally 8 FPS, and if I try to open the options menu to see what the settings are or to change settings, it instantly locks up and I have to alt tab & task manager to close it.

I've tried with both GPU's as the main display out, tried with & without SLI on, tried re-installing BF4, tried repairing game files, and tried different Nvidia drivers too.

I also tried using GeForce Experience to optimize my settings, didn't work either.

Any ideas?

DSR isn't on either.

When was the last time you restarted your computer?

Few days ago, it's been like this for months since I got my 970s.

Try restarting it, try disabling SLI as well.

With FPS like that, are you sure it's not defaulting to use integrated graphics for some reason? Also what are your GPU and CPU utilizations like?

GPU load goes to 99% and CPU goes up to, there's no reason it'd go to integrated graphics when the display cables are plugged into the GPU.

Good point haha. Is there an option for renderer? Like DX, Mantle, OpenGL, etc

Do you have Rivatuner stat server running in the background?

-If so then try running BF4 after disabling rivatuner entirely. Rivatuner can, in some cases, cause extreme slowdowns when a game detects it.

Have you tried physically removing one of the cards and running with only one card in the system?

-Also try swapping which card is in the system and which slot it's in.

Glad you figured it out.

970S? GeForce 970 has Vram problems.

It's not a "problem"; it's by design. The only "problem" would be the miscommunication between the engineers and marketing.

Also, he's fixed the issue by deleting residuary files.
