Quick Noob Question !

Go to solution Solved by Oberon.Smite,

No, not likely. Just make sure you don't have static or anything that might cause static buildup. That could kill your parts. Just wear some plastic sandals or something and touch the PSU every once in a while and you'll be fine :D

So i want to fix my cables on the inside because when i first built my system i said whatever i just want to get the thing on and see if it worked but i never got around to fixing the cable and cleaning it up. I just want to know if i take out all the power connectors from the PSU off the motherboard will it mess anything up at all ? Probably a dumb question but i just wanna make sure.

What else is there to say i am to n00b to understand computers so yea...

I just did this today, for your exact reason. You should be fine, as long as their is no static/carpet.

One bit of advice I can give is.....take photos where everything is plugged in and then you should be able to figure out where to plug them back in when you're done. ;)

ON A 7 MONTH BREAK FROM THESE LTT FORUMS. WILL BE BACK ON NOVEMBER 5th.

If you are using SATA (why the hell you wouldn't...) then boot order is only thing that can be messed. And that is quick to change. This is because BIOS remembers boot order based on SATA header numbering, not with what is connected to where. Even if you forgot some data/power cables, nothing major will happen. Windows will remember everything based on settings saved on SSD/HDD and BIOS with CMOS battery/switch. Be careful not to flip the latter.
