Will there be a performance difference from a E2200 to a Q6600

I currently have a E2200 in a family pc and i was wondering if i would see a difference in gaming and everyday work going from E2200 to a Q6600.

The PC has:

  • Intel E2200
  • 4 Gb of ram
  • No graphics card or sound card

Huge. I used to use the e2200 and upgraded it to a q6600. Difference was night and day.

Never knew it was that much. Would there be a jump in gaming because I don't have a graphics card? Thanks for replying

Probably not but with the addition of a graphics card you could convert your family PC into a fairly cheap PC that'll play most games comfortably :)

The main reason I was getting this cpu was that it would stutter when trying to view a 1080p youtube video. I could only watch 720p and sometimes 720p 60 fps videos. So would this cpu help with that or no?

Thanks
