The best 980 is two 970s or 290s.

Oh I have to recommend a 980 brand.

If i must , Gigabyte G1 gaming.

Two 970s is not off the table, but a single 980 is cheaper and easier to deal with. I won't be building for a while, waiting for No Man's Sky to be released and benchmarked before I make a decision. Just examining my options at this point.

980 kingpin, no doubt

Specs: 4790k | Asus Z-97 Pro Wifi | MX100 512GB SSD | NZXT H440 Plastidipped Black | Dark Rock 3 CPU Cooler | MSI 290x Lightning | EVGA 850 G2 | 3x Noctua Industrial NF-F12's

Bought a powermac G5, expect a mod log sometime in 2015

Corsair is overrated, and Anime is ruined by the people who watch it

It's been confirmed on PC for months, but it won't be getting a concurrent release with the PS4 version

Huh.

Either way, I can assure you, no matter which card/set of cards you get, you'll probably be able to max it easily.

Well I want to play at 1440p so I'm going to need some extra horsepower to make that happen. Otherwise I would buy a 970 and be done with it.

G1 gaming and EVGA get the most juice out of the card. I guess it comes down to design at that point. However I think the EVGA one looks ugly as fuck.

Intel 4790 K - R9 295X2 - Gigabyte Z97-SLI - Corsair Vengeance Pro Black 1866 CAL9 - Corsair HX 1000 -Samsung 850 EVO SSD - Samsung HDD - H100I - Corsair C70 - G400 Logitech - Asus VS247H - WASD custom mechanical and QCKPAD!

Staples of LTT: Getting an 4690 K will resurrect your lost family members, AMD = More heat thus AMD = Satan.
