Graphics Card Installation

Go to solution Solved by Kermit,

Try searching YouTube for how to install graphics cards.

I think Newegg.com's channel has a pretty straightforward video.

PS. When you install the card, you should hear a click for when that tab is actually locked and has the GPU secure. Good luck

Hello everyone!

I'm saving up for a graphics card and what I've seen from videos or other sources is that they just simply put the graphics card in the slot then plug it in and secure it with screws. On almost any modern motherboards, they have a tab at the end of every PCI-E slot in the board.

And with that tab on my motherboard, I discovered that I could pull it back. Do I need to pull it back when putting in the card, or only use it if I'm uninstalling the card?

Just pop it in. Don't try to push the tab back or apply pressure to it, or it will snap off. :)

You need to open it for installing. Once you push the GPU in, it snaps itself up.

Also, you push it down for uninstalling.
