used aio cooler ?

Go to solution Solved by givingtnt,

i have a h440 so i could fit a single 140 or 120 and a 240 in the front or top

I have an h80i, wich  is a tiny bit thicker aio. on a 4790k

you don't need an aio.. I stil think my h80i is overkill.

get a hyper 212 evo

i have a i5-4690k with a hyper 212 evo, i was looking on kijiji and seen a antec kuhler h2o 620 for sale and he wants 40$ but the add has been up for a month now so i could prob get it for a bit less, is it worth the money to get it ? and with it being discontinued should i be worried about it being used ?

A 120mm rad is probably only a bit better then the 212 evo.

So in other buys, DONT buy it

if i were to buy a thick 120mm or find a 140mm would it be worth the upgrade ?

No.

I would say a dual 120mm would be an "upgrade"

doesnt the 4690k have a 88w tdp why would you need a liquid cooler for that

The cheapest thing that would be worth it is a Phanteks PH-TC14PE, it performs better than an h100i (and probably most other 240mm AIOs) and comes in quite a few colors.

im ocd about low temps and i seen the aio for pretty cheap so i thought it was worth asking... im glad i turned my self of the idea of building a full custom loop with a triple 120mm rad and a thick 140mm in the rear, it woul have costed me about 500$ :P

i live in northern canada, but my ambient temps are about 22 degrees c according to the thermostat in the hallway outside my room. if i were to stick my pc outside i would be able to oc pretty high without temps being a problem :P
