SSD for external usb drive

Hey guy so I'm looking to have an ssd for external storage on my mac. I was looking at my local store and found a couple as listed below all of which are 240gigs:

Samsung: 850 EVO ($170), 840 EVO ($160)

Kingston: Hyper X ($163) Sandforce Controller

Patriot: Blaze ($127) Phison Controller 

OCZ: ARC 100 ($127) Barefoot 3 Controller

 

I have no idea which one to get since this is for external use not internal, any help would be apprieciated.

These are all good options, but keep in mind that since these are going to be used externally they will need some sort of enclosure ie. usb3 enclosure or possibly thunderbolt. Is this for a mac laptop or desktop? and if so which one?

USB 3 interface is 4.8 Gbits and good SSDs saturate the 6Gbit SATA bus. I would say get the cheapest.

Maybe look at angle fire ssd2go. I want to say Linus upgraded to something else but I can't remember if he did and what it was of he did.

Yeah got that covered found some decent enclosures and yes this is for mac (macbook air to be specific) so I might even dual boot this drive
