Source 2 Announced By Valve

Source 2 is here and it is also free. Valve has just introduced the new game engine at GDC 2015 and it will replace the original Source engine which was introduced in June 2004.

Valve says Source 2 is free and should help developers increase their productivity. A special version of Source 2 is also launching and will be compatible with a 3D graphics API called Vulcan.
 

 
 

Valve provided no info on when Source 2 will be available or whether it has any projects using the engine in the works.

New CS sometime soon? If they were to make one I'd think they'd wait until the release of Source 2.

I just saw two half life 3 posts at once, it's happening. I am denying to face reality, Lord Gaben will deliver...Because he is... well, Lord Gaben

Ok on topic here, I'm curious to when they'll release the new engine. They don't seem to have release date, I'm getting a itching feeling it'll be delayed once they do have a release date.
