Facebook working on Drones, Lasers and satellites to expand internet access around the world.

ahhming

CEO Mark Zuckerberg has said at MWC that the company is working on drones, lasers, and satellites. All of those things will be used by the company to expand internet access around the world.

Zuckerberg spent a substantial amount of time during his presentation discussing the Facebook-led nonprofit Internet.org, which aims to bring free Internet data to four African countries, Colombia and India. While we haven't heard too much about how drones and other tools would be incorporated in the future, Zuckerberg said building these resources is still on the company's radar.

Zuckerberg even said he would work with rival Google to help achieve that mission of getting the world's population online. "Sure. I'd love to do more with them," he said when someone asked if the two companies would consider working together in the future.
