Gaming server?

Okay I have a gaming class computer with 2 HDDs. I want to host a server that can back up everything to one of the HDDs and run windows for gaming to another HDD. Can anybody help me with this. I am fully capable of virtual machines. How would that impact performance thought.

I'm pretty sure you can't run two operating systems off two drives at the same time with one motherboard, if that's what you're asking.

I would find a cheap PC off Ebay for like $50 and use that as a server!

Will freenas work and if it will can I get some pointers. I can have both Operating systems on one drive and just backup to the other. But I want to play games and host a cloud type server in the background constantly.

FreeNAS is a NAS OS, not a server OS afaik.

You can get a vps for really cheap I could host one for you BUT:

I've got a my own private server which I host for people, but unfortunately, I've run out of IP's. Also the server is getting overloaded with people crap. So I might have to make some calls. The other issue, this server, is running at home. So yeah. (Based in the UK)
