HDDs... Nope. Not in a no budget build.

Also sucky PSU (cabel-wise), not so great monitors (3440x 1440p curved!) and nicer pheripherals.

If you want large storage without filling a case with more SSDs than the PSU has connectors for and more SATA connections than the motherboard has available (forcing you to get RAID cards and lose out on QuadFire/Quad-SLI, probably not. All depends on what it's used for.

Well the Asus Deluxe X99 can have up to 12 Sata based SSDs without a raidcard and the PSU has 12 SATA Power connectors. That's 12TB of SSD space. :)

12TB, meanwhile with Seagate's 8TB drives and Hitachi's 10TB drives, you can have up 100TB of HDD space (assuming RAID 0, but hell naw for redundancy) and still have room for 2.4TB of SSDs (Intel's S3710). Massive amounts of storage don't normally need to be accessed so fast, since your OS doesn't have to reside on a 12TB SSD volume (which you wouldn't want it to, because since that's all RAID 0, if one drive dies all of your stuff is gone. Go ask Linus on this one, the guy has 8 refurb Corsair SSDs in a RAID 0 array and has it set to backup to a mechanical array in (I believe) RAID 1 or 5. For the forseeable future, mechanical is the way to go for mass storage. What will I ever need it for? I won't, but it's budgetless so why not?

Hell, why do we even care? Lol, this is a dream build after all. Our dreams are different :P
