I am thinking about upgrading most of my computer, and this is what I am looking at right now. Is there anything that would make it better without ruining the looks? Thanks.

meh, it isn't atx and the pcb is brown, so it looks significantly worse IMO.

Wut??? The PCB is black, not brown. Also, it has usb 3.0 functionality, a thing that you won't find on any other ATX mobo (for a reasonable price).

??? The one you recommended has a brown pcb and is matx? Are you talking about the one you recommended or the one I had?

Yup, the one I recommend. Click on the link, then on the picture. The PCB is clearly black.

Nope, it is easier to see on the newegg pictures. Especially looking at the back, it is pretty easy too see that it is brown.

The build is fine, You can try this for when you want to upgrade that GPU...

How do you like the G602?  I have been using it for a week now.

Yeah, that psu is slightly cheaper so I will, though the system will use around 300W.

The g602 is really nice, I don't have any problems with it and the battery hasn't died (around 50% left) after multiple months.

. If you look at the direct views, especially the back, it is easy to see that it is brown.

Just in case you grab a r9 380 (yes 380) down the road, you have the extra juice.  Nvidia is not as much of a problem, but I would want more than 450W for the 970 (max power consumption is around 270W).

I have a PCB like that.  You won't see the brown through the window.

Correction: only looking at the back is pretty easy to see that it is brown. But from the front, it's perfectly black to me.

I won't be upgrading this for around 3 years, and then I will probably replace everything (besides possibly the case and the ssd). I will have the computer sideways, so I will see the inside quite a bit. I may also add LEDs which would make it more visible.

Even if it isn't visible, I like blue and white builds, so I may even add blue LEDs; the blue parts are an upside for me, not a downside.

Okay. Just make sure that it has USB 3.0 headers, because your case also has them.

Yup, the one I plan to use has one.

It is around as good of a case (probably slightly better), but It looks boring to me, and looks are a big part of getting an expensive case for me. The side window is also scratched very easily on the s340, but IDK about on the phantom 240.

It is completely personal preference after a certain point.  When you take the shrouds off, all decent cases are designed very similarly.

Yup, the enthoo pro, fractal design r5, and nzxt h440 (and others) are all amazing at around the same price, but have different looks and slightly different specific features.

Not the best choice of psu, http://hardocp.com/article/2015/02/19/evga_430w_power_supply_review/#.VOdngks5AuU.

Without a budget range is is pretty difficult to make suggestions.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

What would you recommend? I am willing to spend up to around $50, but a cheaper one with similar quality is always good. I would also prefer all black cables, but IDK how expensive those would be. Semi/full-modularity would also be nice, but isn't required.

Corsair CX500M The motherboard power cables are sleeved in black and not modular. The rest are modular, flat, and black. The psu connectors are the same as on the AX, HX and RM series so one can get individually sleeved cable sets in various colors from Corsair.

Would the EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 650W be much better? It has better cables and is fully modular. It is also 80+ gold instead of bronze.

I do not know. Sadly there do not appear to be any serious reviews of the model. EVGA is all over the map with psu quality. Given the price point I suspect while it should be more efficient than the CXM, component and build quality would be no better, and may not be as good.

Ok, I'll ask in the PSU sub-forum to see what they say.

I would stay away from the 650W NEX.  I am not a big fan of four 12v rails.  A good single 12v is much better.

90% sure that's actually a single / double rail.

In theory, multi separate 12v rails should be lot better than a single stronger 12v. The thing is, you don't actually find true multi-rail PSUs; maybe on super high end models, but that's an exception, and not the norm.

More rails = more mini factories = more of a chance one will fail.  A single rail is a more elegant solution as it provides power to any component from a single pool of power production.  IDK, either can be okay.

So you are saying the NEX is really a double rail...split into two rails per "mini factory"?
