That's like saying people usually die in africa, but someone died in USA. (It can happen to any mouse)

It's a common issue with razer mouses (LOGITECH MASTER RACE)

I use a Razer Mamba 2012, and without any more info I'm going to diagnose your problem to lie with the Synapse 2.0 software.

Their hardware is typically on point, but this clumbsy software ruins everything it interacts with. I'm just glad my Razer mousepad doesn't require being linked to Razer Synapse 2.0 in order to function the way my mouse does.

Try re-installing (first super-uninstalling) the Synapse 2.0 software. Maybe you should try a second computer first to see if the symptoms persist. If both fail, dis-assemble and re-assemble the mouse (if it's out of warranty) then I bet it will magically work again.

I don't see how reinstalling would fix this...

I've owned 4 Razer mice by this point and I love them. That being said, they don't really last what I consider fairly continuous use for too long. Take for example: I have only bought 2 Deathadders yet I have owned 4. The second two are warranty replacements from my computer shop due to either scroll wheel or mouse button failure after fairly predictable durations.

Ole #4 has been kicking for a couple years and just now is starting to double click. I've come to expect it but I haven't found a mouse that works better for me yet.

You could try getting it RMA'd if its still under warranty, as its probably hardware rather than software.

It's sort of like josseling the vending machine that has your candy-bar stuck. It shouldn't really do anything, but it yields results. I've had success with doing the following: Uninstalling, restarting and then reinstalling (while mouse is unplugged.) This may "clear the air" a bit in the system; the problem could have stemmed from a Windows file which had become corrupt.

I am using a mac. I tried reinstalling and nothing really happened.
