I was "depressed" from the age of 4 to about 16. It's more complicated than that, but I feel it would fall under that category. You'll get over it. Everyone eventually does.

Not to say you will "just" get over it. Things will happen that will change you. That's why you will. Even if it takes years.

Chicken Noodle soup does this as well.

Which is why it's a favorite for sick children.

First of all, try to discover the source of this depression. Is it your family-life? Your job? Relations? School? Mental and/or physical health? Etc. (you don't have to post that). When you found the source, try to tackle the problems and get over this state of depression. To do that, find someone who really cares about you and who you know you can trust and speak with him/her about the problems and search for a solution together. Also try to do things that relax your mind, take a hike or a swim for example. By using your body and getting into shape, your self-esteem will grow. Try to invest in friendships and good relations, those can be the key to get out of the depression. And always remember: every cloud has a silver lining.

Really?

Exercise will benefit you at the same time though. You don't have to lift weights; go for a run, do some pushups, pullups (palms facing out), chin ups (palms facing in)...just get the heart rate up.

I think that your problem is that you live in Falun, it's quite depressing there. I'd suggest moving to some less depressing place like Skåne, avoid Stockholm, their big city mentality is the most depressing thing out there.

No but on a more serious note, get in touch with BUP in Falun, they have an office there.  Their email is: bup.falun@ltdalarna.se

There's not always a clear reason to why someone is depressed, especially for younger people.

I myself have been depressed for years and I do not really have any clear reason to why I am depressed. But I suspect several causes.

They're sharing a drink they call loneliness, but it's better than drinkin' alone...

Okay, that is a messed situation you live in, I feel sorry for you mate. Having overweight can most of the time be tackled by training and body exercise (sometimes it is caused by medication). Youtube has a lot of fitness channels with instructions to work out without equipment at home or outside. Eating healthy food is also necessary to get in shape. Watch what you're eating and try to limit the amount of carbs and fat that you take in on a daily basis. Eating enough vegetables and fruit gives you a much better physical and also mental state. About your girlfriend: if she "left" you because of overweight, she is probably not worth to be your girlfriend. Just focus on getting a better physical shape and things will start getting more positive, although that can take a while. Never give up, keep talking about problems with people you trust and if you don't like your family, just try to stay on good therms with them and try to avoid negative situations. Stand up for yourself (this can be hard, I know, but try to) and work yourself out of this shithole. Good luck buddy!
