Hello, I was wondering

 

I have a Maximus VII Hero and its currently Equipped with a GTX 770.

 

Since this motherboard only has 1 PCI-E x16, does SLI require a second x16 slot? 

No, SLI can work on x8 slots as well. The Hero VII can run 2-Way/Quad SLI.

My arsenal: i7-9700k Gaming Rig, an iPhone, and Stupidity.
