new 1000 gaming pc that will run 1440p and 4k 40+fps

Hey guys i have 1000$ to build a new pc for myself and i want it to be for gaming as i want shear performance

  1. Budget=1000$-1100$
  2. Location=US
  3. Aim=The system will be for just shear performance, crisis, planetside, assassins creed unity, battlefield, skyrim modded, metro, and so on
  4. monitors=Will run one monitor that is 1080p 1ms and if possible get a gtx 900 series gpu and use dsr to upscale it to 1440p and 4k and might in the future upgrade to 2 monitors
  5. Peripherals=I do not need any peripherals as i have windows 8.1 already and if possible and fits the budget you could throw in the cm storm devastator (red colored if possible)
  6. Why are you upgrading=Well right about know i am on a laptop that cant run a sing one of these games in even the lowest settings and i mean low low low low  LOW! ;)
  7. PS. I do live near a microcenter so instore pickups like on the i5 4690k work perfect

but you could make that better as i have a friend willing to give me ram and hard drive free so if you take off those that is saving 100$ making this build a 1200$ what can you do with that because i dont have a 4k monitor and really want to use dsr

R9 290 has VSR (AMD's version of DSR) and 290's are a much much better value than 980's (about 20-30% less performance at 4k for half the price).

Also, native 4k looks quite a bit better than downsampled 4k so I'd recommend getting a 4k screen as well/soon after if you really want to play in 4k.

$400 28" 4k 60Hz 1-2ms response time http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009659&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=I have this monitor and I really like it, it's the cheapest decent 4k display right now.

If i may ask, why do you want to use DSR so much? I understand the upscaling, but for many games, it makes things unnecessarily blurry, even with the sharpness settings maxed out. BTW, you can still do OGSSAA without using DSR or whatever AMD calls their implementation.

As far as single GPU's go, you will not be running 4k on a single GPU, which means crossfire/SLI will only add in their respective trade-off's when using them. Frame time being an issue even in this day and age.

1440p would still be amazing, and with the ROG swift and that new monitor Acer is coming out with, choices on 1440p monitors are looking great. Acer is releasing a g-sync and freesync 1440p 144hz IPS monitor, both of which will pair nicely with whichever GPU team you plan on using. This would make a much smoother gaming experience, regardless of what you set the graphics to assuming you have a nice card to handle it. I know both Nvidia and AMD have single GPU configurations that should be able to handle whatever you throw at it as far as 1440p goes, helping you save money and to spend it on a nice monitor instead.

"The Acer XB270HU and XG270HU monitors will be available globally and begin shipping in March 2015. " Great if you can wait a month.
