Seasonic all the way.

I would go to corsair as they seem to be more reputable and have more reviews

Just because a product has more reviews doesn't mean it's better than an other product... OMG.

No, the VS series is one that I definitely wouldn't recommend if given alternatives. Corsair rebrands and has psus of varying quality most of which are usually good but VS is one of those that aren't built well enough to frequently recommend.

The S12ii is easily better .

Any bigger brand are usually good, Corsair, Coolermaster, Silverstone, Seasonic, etc.

hello guys iam going to buy a new PSU and i want to know which one is better ? Corsair VS550M 550W  / SeaSonic S12ll 520W ?

Note: i won't use SLi and i will use it to overclock i5 4690K to arround 4.3 GHz

Id recommend the CX600, It is pretty cheap and has a Semi-modular interface, So you wont have to worry too much about shoving cables in the 5.25 bays.

So Which one is better? :D

The Seasonic S12II-B 520w is a better build PSU.

If you want us to provide an alternate recommendation, it would help to know your budget (in your currency) and provide links to where you are able to buy from (so we know what's available to you).

Seasonic. afaik some Corsair and Antec PSUs were rebranded Seasonics anyway.

Can't recommend their X series enough.

Corsair PSUs are made by Seasonic however some , eg 550VX 1000HX,are made by Channel well.

I would go Seasonic (for 550) as I have heard a lot more good about them than Channel well.

I have the SeaSonic S12ll 620W, and so far so good. Very high quality PSU (and cables!). You can't go wrong with that PSU ;) (well, the 520W).

Not all Corsair and Antec PSUs are Seasonics. Most of Corsair's units are from CWT (mediocre OEM), and many of Antec's are from Delta (excellent OEM).

You'd think PCPartpicker would remove them, ah well.

Well, even if a product is discontinued, they may still be some unit leftover in storage, that Newegg, Amazon, NCIX, etc can sell. Like the original CX400 was sold in NCIXUS for two or so years after it was discontinued and replaced by the CX430.

But yeah, if you count the one sold in stores right now, Seasonic makes the HX650v2 (G series) and the AX760/860 (XP2). The rest are either Flextronics (AXi), Great Wall (CS), or Channel Well Tech (VS, CX, RM, HXi, HX750/850v2). Chicony Hipro also made the RM750/850; however, Corsair switch over to CWT again on the latest revision.
