No you do not, it will have some pre applied, however I recommend wiping it off and using some better quality paste.

Actually the pre-applied stuff is great. Shame it isn't available in little tubes.

yup. Once my MX-4 had cured it was about 2C-3C higher at idle. Roughly the same under load.
