2 towers, eight heat pipes, amazing performance fans fitted as stock.

Edit: Also, not for silent computing and completely pointless unless you're going to overclock.

Noctua NH-D15, the thing is a BEAST.

Im searching for the best air cooler possible? And to which kind of Ghz can you oc with a air cooler (i5 4690k) would I be able to oc too his maximum ?

You're going to be limited by the architecture of the chip and the crappy TIM in between the die and the IHS than your CPU cooler choice.

Most dual tower heat sinks are not worth it (e.g. NH-D15) because they're expensive, they have compatibility issues with cases, RAM, and PCIe slots, and they put a lot of load on your motherboard.

If it's available in your market, I suggest the Scythe Kotetsu. Small, simple, budget friendly, and surprisingly effective. Though if you hit a sale on one of the flagship dual tower coolers, and you have the case/RAM/mobo for it, they won't disappoint. And @GuruMeditationError there are many more important things to a heatsink's performance than heat pipe count.

EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G2 | Fractal Design Define R5 Titanium Window | Phanteks PH-TC14PE | ASUS BW-12B1ST

Well in essence that's the universal answer to every question ever. ;0)

Well in essence that's the universal answer to every question ever. ;0)

Then I shall provide a less universal answer. xD

Influencers on typical heat sink performance, in order of impact:

  1. Quality of contact between heat sink and CPU.
  2. Quality of contact between heat sink base and heat pipes.
  3. Quality of contact between heat pipes and fin array.
  4. Other things.

If you can't get the heat from the CPU to the cooler/heat pipes, it doesn't matter how many heat pipes you have. And if you can't get the heat from the pipes to the fins, it doesn't matter how many fins or heat pipes you have.
