System hanging very often.

My system hangs while I'm doing random stuff. And while my PC is hanging, my Hard Disk activity LED lights up, instead of flashing. Why is that. PLS someone help, I't very frustrating :@

Please post what hardware you have and OS. Sounds liek something installed is crashing... No BSOD? Does it eventually recover or you need to do a reset?

Try reinstalling all of the drivers. And Prime95 it just to be sure it's not hardware.

And specs would be nice.

P.S.: Is it a fresh install? Have you added any new hardware?

Running under Windows 7 64bit

After crashing, it usually recovers after 30secs to 2mins

No BSOD.
