Sapphire 7950 3gb

i am thinking about buying 3 of them because my motherboard supports 3 way and i they fit the price.

 

should i buy 3 or 2 or just one.

You wont see an increase in performance even if you get more cards, i say 2

After two way configs, latency increases to the point where 3/4 way configs are pointless. Also, if a game happens not to support multi-GPU configs very well, the performance may stay the same, or decrease.

Performance wont decrease only the way it scales will decrease, to the point of buying it almost pointless.

In Euro Truck Simulator 2 when using SLI, my FPS is very low. When setting a profile for Single GPU mode, the FPS goes back up.

I wouldn't go any more than two. CrossfireX and SLI don't scale well beyond that.

I would recommend getting 2 7970s, since they're so cheap right now.

Get two.I have two 7950s and they run Bf3 at medium settings at 1440p 120hz..And i get between 90-120fps..

i like the 3x 7950 ^_^

but those Sapphire 7970 OC are awesome, (and look awesome, and OC awesome, and only cost 309,$) :D

2x 7950, if you have the extra money for a third you'd be better off spending it somewhere else, say water cooling?

with the reference coolers you would pretty much need to water cool them as those blower coolers don't work well when there are loads of them in a small space

I will be running two sapphire 7950's but a single 7970 would be perfect. if you want to splurge, why not get a second 7970.
