I'm planning to build a PC this month and these are the parts I have picked.

Motherboard - Asus P8Z77-V LK

GPU - EVGA GeForce GTX 780 Superclocked 3GB

Ram - Kingston XMP 10th Anniversary Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3 1600MHz

Power Supply - Corsair AX750 Gold Modular

CPU Cooler - Corsair H100i

SSD - Samsung 840 Pro Series 128Gb

HDD - Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB

Is this build worth it or just a waste? 80% Gaming 20% Video editing, Photoshop, 3D

Okay. Then stick with the PSU. Everything looks good.

Bump to ssd up to a 250GB samsung 840 (non-pro). The extra space is essential as a scratch disk for working quickly with large Photoshop files and other applications.

The 840 pro is marginally faster than the non-pro in real life usage.

I would say downgrade to 8GB ram,and a 4670K.

then use that money on a larger SSD,you may be able to get a 360-512GB depending on how much the ram and processor cost.

seems like you're mainly into gaming so you don't really need an i7.
