i didn't get the v2s  i had no need for a 7.1 sound card since i dont use it and i heard the headset is the same

The mic is better (it was mediocre in the V1). The USB sound card is optional, you can plug in directly to the back of the computer.

For both versions, you don't need a sound card, although a cheap amp can improve things a bit.

I believe you'd need an adapter for Cloud II if you want to plug in to the back since it has a single 3.5 mm connector.

An amp will do nothing if they are able to run loud enough which they should be.

Its 80 impedances less then the K612 that ran off my tablet, what even shall we do about a 40 impediments headphone.

In all seriousness I still can't believe these headphones are 8 ohms...

They do have a higher impedance than average headphones, so on mobile devices (or devices with weak DACs), they'll sound good, but not great. But any computer/motherboard with a solid audio solution will pump out sound that they can really sound great with.

My iPad 2 sounds good, but my Gigabyte H81M-DS2V mobo sounds great. And that's not even a great audio solution by any means.

What's a weak DAC?

By that I mean a device that has onboard audio not meant for headphones with higher impedance; phones, tablets, cheap laptops/PCs.

That being said, they certainly still sound great on those devices; just not AS great as with a better audio processor.

Personally, I don't like my audio processed, just like my meat.

I guess sensitivity doesn't matter anymore.

Time to connect my 250 ohmage headphones to a 1000W loudspeaker amp.
