Hi.

Been a while since I built a rig from scratch, making this post with hopes of getting any pointers or help.

Any one got any ideas for parts that needs swaping or changing?

Looking to build a high-end gaming pc with possibilities of upgrading in the future. Got 2 monitors.

The budget is about 3,5k. Any input is appreciated.

What can I say, for a gaming build it's a bit overkill.

You could save some money by going for a 46/790k instead

dopping to 16gb of Ram

toning down the cpu cooler

1000watts is not needed, 850/750 watts would do

CPU: i5-4690k GPU: 280x Toxic PSU: Coolermaster V750 Motherboard: Z97X-SOC RAM: Ripjaws 1x8 1600mhz Case: Corsair 750D HDD: WD Blue 1TB

What Monitors do you have ? You just gaming on the 1 Monitor I presume ? as 2 is kind of awkward.

An excellent gaming system really only needs an i7-4790K. Not that an i7-5930K is necessarily a bad choice, just more expensive than needs be. Speaking of which, this budget offers the perfect opportunity for a snow white build. I will concede that it is more expensive than necessary. Certainly the psu is over the top. But it looks real good to me and should have excellent gaming performance.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
