Are your maps upside down?

 

Legit question...... Having a debate with a bunch of friends....

Yes they are upside down, and the part that shows Australia is supported on the back of 4 koala bears, standing on the back of a dingo which is carrying a baby....

 

Oh, and the best place to play, really is the map of Tasmania....

No. Standard maps. usually with GMT at the centre. Occasionally you'll find one focusing on Australia, and the bits around it.

Unless it's like jack sparrow's compass. If it was Australian it'd probably point to the nearest pub.

Australia isn't even upside down, I would understand if someone said Antarctica was but not here

Ok, to clear this up, in Australia we use North facing maps like everyone else. People think we have upside down maps because, you often see them in souvenir shops for tourists and they are sold as a joke, but some people actual believe that is what out maps look like.
