I think it's a bit excessive especially with the cpu and the water cooling but looks like it'll preform great!

No I like having cores to spare. I need it sometimes.

@Dive5885

Well 1080p for now. If the 390x is as good as AMD claims, probably triple ROG Swifts or a 4k monitor

Okay well you should of mentioned that in the post so we know.

That Monitor isn't ideal for gaming on.

Also the EVGA NEX is pretty average.

I'm not saying going with this build is the choice... but it's better value for money without a doubt.

I whipped it together in 10 seconds just for an example

Now THIS is a better build.

Changes I'd make: a better 1440p monitor, change the CPU cooler to the Raijintek Triton (was available a few days ago, looks like it's out of stock), and change the HD to WD or Seagate.

I did read it. I always do. That being said I'm just giving suggestions on how to get more value per dollar. OP can ignore my suggestion entirely. But that being said, I always look to save some people money when it's a GROSS overkill. By all means if you feel the need to waste money, more power to you.

I just wanted to give you a different option before you hit confirm.

@Prastupok OK. Dude I have a ax1200i already. Why do I need to downgrade my PSU to some EVGA crap?

Because your PSU IS crap (given what you'll be doing with the PC). Putting a 1200w psu on a 350w machine is BAD for the PSU. PSUs are designed to work at about 50% of their capacity.

If you want to re-use the PSU, fine. Just be assured, you will be damaging it over time.

First off? You don't have to be condescending. You aren't any better than the rest of us.

Now, I simply was trying to give you a suggestion, since you said you are only gaming at 1080p. I never said you have to follow it, but I know if I was in your position, I wouldn't want to blow money like that.

But like I said, go ahead and blow it. Just don't be rude to those who are simply giving advice.

@CoolaxGaming

Also, what Imakuni said is very true. You will do damage, and your efficiency will drop like a stone.
