Im a bit new to the gaming industry so i see a lot gaming videos but i always find a lot of hate on EA

so i wanted to know why people hate on ea

Monetizing Dungeon Keeper mobile to the point they were shitting on the original game, with 24 hours needed to mine the hardest blocks, sped up of course by spending money. (This is 1 example, others will have more).

They pretty much suffer from the same issues that every AAA publisher do, in the way they  have no problem treating customers like garbage just go squeeze out a few extra dollars. EA is just more high profile and I guess they get a lot more flack because of that.

EA were the Ubisoft of the last generation of games (and quite a few others, they were just really bad a while back). They've stopped actively trying to suck ass, but they're still pretty bad.

I can see why they're hated.

But now that you can get refunds on Origin i don't mind much.

They're not as bad as Ubisoft, but they release a nearly identical to the last sports games every year to print money.

 

It's more the fault of the users who keep buying it, though.

Some say EA was what Ubisoft is now, but EA is still bad to this day. 'NFS: No Limits' showed how greedy they still are, in this 'free' racing game you need to buy fuel in order to race. 'Sims 4' was an absolutely awful release this year as well, even before release it was clear how it was gonna be Sims 3 with even more stupid dlc's. Someone mentioned here already how ridiculous the dlc was for Sims 3.

 

And don't get me started on how ridiculous their sport games are, they are still popular in those 'Worst games of [insert year here]' videos.

EA have improved their practices as of late. I started repurchasing EA's products in 2014 after not buying anything from them for four years and was not disappointed by BF4 although I will admit it wasn't a worthy follow-up to Battlefield 3. I do however enjoy Hardline.

 

Also, EA have FREE games every month and refunds and superior customer service.
