What is the monitor hooked up to? What connection is it using? Is the monitor set on the correct connection?

My friend Skyped me and said his other monitor wasn't working. It's recognized by Windows, but the display shows that there is no input. 

Ain't nobody got time fo' signatures

Make sure the output is going to both in settings.

 

To extend: Open charms bar > Devices > Play > Extend to second screen.

FIXED! VGA wasn't plugged in all the way.
