The G45 looks much better, and performance-wise there is very little difference.

The one that looks the best.

^^ this, they have very simliar features in fact i think they are pretty much the same board the only difference being the MSI gaming 5 has the new aestetics from MSI...the G45 is the ''older'' style...if one is significantly cheaper than the other go with this one otherwise pick the one you think looks best they are both phenomenal boards for the price...be advised the G45 is a ''brownish'' dark PCB and the gaming 5 is a full black PCB.
