windows or linux?

Hey there folks! I am doing a new pc build and I was curious what you lovely people at LTT forums have to say about Linux or Windows. I am a gamer and this PC is what that will be mainly used for. I'm not looking for a Linux is better because X, Y, Z and visa versa.

I'd go with windows since its easier to use and you can do quite bit more with windows but if you need to Linux is fine.

Just got off of linux, wine BARELY works, still good for basic media server and web browsing.

Unless you are short on money and can't buy windows, get windows. Linux is great an all but if you have no reason to use it, then you shouldn't force yourself to use it. For example I use linux mainly for doing my programming assignments because it is relatively simple to set up tools and stuff for programming.
