You could try and RMA the H100i, it is well within warranty. At least get a new one to sell it at the very least.

I second that. Last summer my H100i went for a dump after it started tipping over 98+ C under load; even after numerous remounts and repastes. I contacted Corsair who asked me to present a receipt of purchase... which I did not have.

They STILL honored the warranty and gave me a new unit despite me not providing proof of purchase. Mind you, I cannot RMA the replacement H100i, as that action by Corsair was a one time courtesy.
