Honestly, that's a BAD build. You are getting a z97 mobo with a cpu that can't even OC, and you are getting a 600w PSU for a system that should only require less than 270W. Also, getting a 1x8 RAM with the intend for upgrade is just dumb, as it wouldn't help performance in any way, and you'll also lose the advantage of dual channel.

 

Oh, and the MSI is not worth the money, given the fact that the Strix is almost 20$ cheaper.

Blame @zappian for the Mobo! I didnt put it there! I did say the MSI GPU was coz im a fanboy. @Imakuni

 

For gaming, the fact the ram is dualchannel does not matter.
