So, I didn't really know what to put as the title so I assume this will have to do.

Anyways, I've been at a new college for a week now, and I've made some friends with some of the AWESOME advice you guys have given me.  Now, I need some help.

So, at orientation day, there was this one girl I couldn't keep my eyes off,  she looks a bit nerdy but I think shes beautiful.  So, anyways, I forget about it because the college is so big that we will probably never be in the same class.  I was wrong.

She is in my English Class, History Class, We are in the same Science Block and we are in some other classes together too.

I took the first step today sitting at the same table as her.   But I've had absolutely no experience and I suck in social situations.

I'm friends with her friend, and shes pretty nerdy so I assume this girl I like is too.

I just need some help, I dont even have the courage to talk to her.

I'm already taking showers before college, keeping my self clean, doing my hair, wearing nice cloths.  I just need social help.

Thanks guys,, sorry if this is the wrong place to ask for help.  The forum is the only place I trust and know people who have been in similar situations.

Just talk to her, get to know her...

Get a Steam name or something.

as long as you have nice hair you will be laid

As someone with nice hair: that's great.

I don't know. Pluck up the courage to say hey, or compliment her on something that she is wearing? I'm terrible at this stuff.

What do they know of England, who only England know?

Well, don't move to fast, because if you are too awkward to her(and make her uncomfortable) or if something doesn't work out, you have a full semester ahead of you, so it could either be really awkward or suckish for your entire semester lol. I'm not sure if my advice will be helpful or accurate for you(since you aren't a lesbian woman lol), but here's what I would do:

  • Become friends with her. Start by saying "hello" to her everyday and strike up conversations(like "did you do the HW?" "hey how's it going?", etc.). Work up to being able to do in class projects or similar(and talk before/after class, etc.).
  • Get to know her more. Study together or whatever, because this will eventually lead to going out to eat(or if not, you can work it out to ;) ).
  • That's about it, just don't be too awkward and be yourself. If you try to be somebody you're not it won't work out(had many BF's do this). Also always keep my favorite Mythbusters quote in mind: "Failure is always an option.". Anything can happen, so don't get too involved(basically if something happens don't let it wreck your life).

That's all I can come up with for now, but GL and HF :)

as long as you have nice hair, wear deodorant, and don't be a dick, you will be laid

Laid isn't what I care about.  I just think shes really beautiful and want to get to know her first.

My hair is nice, but I don't want to act like someone I'm not, so I'm not making it look amazing.

I just don't want to do it completley pointless though, if shes in my computer science class, I'm just breezing through. If shes struggling maybe then I'll have an excuse to talk to her and help her out.

Thnaks, thats some good advice.  I'll want to use something I'm good at like computer science for this, because I actually have dyslexia and allot of people think I'm dumb when I can't figure out stuff.

Not to stalk or anything, but I've been listening to any of the things she says in class to get a better idea of who she is and what she likes. Maybe it can help me out a little.
